The C7 (2014-2019) is front-engine with the traditional long-hood Corvette silhouette — the last generation before Chevrolet moved to the mid-engine layout. The C8 (2020-present) is mid-engine with Ferrari-style proportions and modern supercar architecture. Practically: the C7 has better outward visibility, more storage, and traditional Corvette driving character; the C8 has quicker acceleration (2.9 sec vs 3.8 sec 0-60), more aggressive cornering, and modern supercar aesthetics.

Both are C8 platform Convertibles at $349/day. The 2020 Rapid Blue is Z51-equipped — Chevrolet’s Performance Package upgrade with 495 hp (via the Z51 performance exhaust), Brembo brakes, electronic limited-slip differential, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The Orange C8 is the base Stingray Convertible with 490 hp, standard brakes and tires. On a Miami driving experience the difference is subtle unless you’re pushing the car on track. The 2024 Torch Red C8 is the only C8 Coupe in our fleet (the other three C8s are all Convertibles) and it’s been customized with aftermarket Rohana Forged wheels, yellow brake calipers, a black hood stinger stripe, and STINGRAY R aftermarket badging. These modifications distinguish it from every factory-spec rental Corvette in Miami.
